Incredible furniture solutions to compact spaces – Resource Furnitures Creates some really interesting pieces of furniture (or mechanical wizardry!) where beds revolve, incline and spin to make the most of the space available. We have seen stuff like this before, but they have taken it to a new level.

Iceland has had a drop in tourism since the volcano eruption. To counter this, the have launched the Inspired by Iceland campaign online – launched yesterday – the main video has already been viewed 120 thousand times (in 24h)! We like the concept of people who really like Iceland passing the video to their friends. At the core of the campaign is a call to action to the 320 thousand population of Iceland and it seems to be working! At this rate they will easily get 1 video view per inhabitant!

We have created two social media ready interactives to promote the Victoria and Albert Museum’s exhibition Quilts 1700 – 2010, which is open from 20 March to 4 July 2010.


We were tasked with creating web features to foster awareness and excitement around the exhibition, within the ever-expanding quilting community in the UK and across the world.

Quilt of Quilts

For the first phase of the campaign, we developed an online feature for the V&A website to enable quilters to share their work and in doing so to create a user-generated gallery of quilts from around the world in the form of an ever increasing quilt – the Quilt of Quilts.


This feature showcases many wonderful and interesting quilts from around the world, and the stories and history behind them. The location can be indicated through an embedded Google map and the feature takes full advantage of the latest technologies, allowing visitors to browse for quilts by colour, location and year of creation as well as a standard keyword search.


There are facilities to rate and comment upon quilts with other users. This is further supported by features that allow sharing to platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and blogs, to extend the reach to quilting communities and other target audiences active on the wider web as well as on the V&A website.


The Quilt of Quilts was launched in March, and is already proving to be a huge success with over 350 quilts contributed in the first 3 weeks. The Quilt of Quilts will remain open throughout the exhibition and will continue as a permanent feature after the exhibition closes.

Patchwork Pattern Maker

The Patchwork Pattern maker was launched at the end of April as an online pattern-making tool, allowing visitors to create their own, bespoke quilts. Users are invited to upload any image of their choice, which is then transformed into a quilting pattern complete with instructions.
The tool aims to generate more interest around quilting by providing an invaluable tool for people whether they are experienced quilting experts, or people who have never made a quilt before, but are inspired to do so by the exhibition.

The luxury footwear company Jimmy Choo has created an interesting online campaign using FourSquare, the geolocation Social Media application for the IPhone. Find Jimmy Choo based on their FourSquare location updates and you could win a pair of their trainers.

Phillips launched the now famous clown robbery short film to promote its new high definition TV’s a while back:

Now they have continued along the same lines with their video competition Parallel lines in which they invited directors to create videos based on the same theme. Lucy baked some lovely cupcakes for Chico’s last day working in w3haus London offices before returning to our São Paulo office in Brazil. Chico has been here in the London for the past 6 weeks working with Rodrigo on new clients and digital projects as well as interviewing creatives from London to exchange experiences.

We recently caught up with Daniel Kupfer, Brazilian born and London based interactive artist and designer. Daniel’s art installations are part of a new breed of artists that mix interactive design, programming and with art installations that react to visitors in new and innovative ways.

In our video interview, Daniel explains how he came up with some of his art installations, the motivations behind his work and also a little about his life in London and favourite hideouts. We hope you enjoy!

This is a short film that was directed by the French animation collective H5, François Alaux, Hervé de Crécy + Ludovic Houplain. It was presented at the Cannes Film Festival 2009. It opened the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and won a 2010 academy award under the category of animated short.

We recently interviewed Penelope during one of the Steak Zombies Exquisite Corpse workshops which was taking place at the Book Club in Shoreditch, London. Penelope talks about her work, inspiration for her characters and creating the workshops where participants can let their creativity flow.

Looking at fashion from the arts point of view Steak Zombies research new formats of fashion and their work offer, rather food for thought than readymade fashion products. It is an experience and invites into the crafting process to inspire creativity.

Steak Zombies’ field of work embraces formats such as graphic characters, plush-dolls and accessories, stage-outfits and theatre costumes as well as character- based real-life-costumes. In a series of Live-Sewing and Clothes Customizing Performances in clubs and catwalk-happenings, they experiment with fashion and display its actual manufacturing process as a way of artistic expression and entertainment.

Last night we went to see the launch of the new D&AD annual and met up with Julius Wiedemann and the team that designed the upcoming book by Taschen in which we are featured in: “The Internet Case Study Book”!
